Top 100 Women in the Automotive Industry

14TH SEP 2016

Vicky Finn, Group Marketing & Communications Director and Jo Moxon, HR Director, are celebrating their roles within the car industry after being named in Autocar's Top 100 Great British Women. The event is held in association with SMMT and recognises the most influential and inspirational women currently working in the car industry and aims to inspire more females to pursue a career in the automotive sector.

With issues of inequality making the headlines recently, it is important and exciting that role models who have prospered in what is a highly competitive environment are celebrated and recognized for their efforts.

Marketing & Communications Director Vicky Finn, who started working at the company in 2006 and moved into a directorship role last year, said:

"In reflective moments, you can see more women in the media, more people with a voice. I think there's a long way to go, particularly in leadership roles there's still not a 50:50, but you can definitely see there's some real intention, and things like the Great British Women Event really try to put this at the front of the agenda."

HR Director Jo Moxon said:

"Any organisation needs to have a good balance of gender. When I look at the motor industry in particular, females are coming in and buying cars. We need to make sure our industry reflects our customer base. Hence why I'm really passionate about gender balance in organisations."

The event, which was held on 20 June 2018, featured keynote speeches from Citroen Global CEO, Linda Jackson, as well as Olympic bronze, Commonwealth silver and European gold medal winner Karen Brown.
