About Pendragon PLC
Pendragon has a long-standing history as one of the largest automotive retail brands in the UK. Founded in 1989 following the de-merger of Williams PLC, Pendragon has grown to represent 21 different vehicle manufacturers in the automotive retail sector.
Innovation is at the heart of our business and we remain committed to transforming automotive retail through digital innovation and operational excellence.
We operate over 160 sites across the UK under the brands of Evans Halshaw, Stratstone and Car Store, offering new and used vehicles as well as providing expert aftercare services.
We also provide innovative software solutions to the automotive industry through Pinewood Technologies, as well as fleet and leasing through Pendragon Vehicle Management and wholesale vehicle parts via Quickco.
Pendragon PLC is leading the change in the automotive online retail sector.
Our business operates under four key pillars; Franchised UK Motor, Standalone Used Cars, Pinewood and Leasing. With each business area having a long-term strategy in place to support development and growth.
Our digital strengths across our group remain our principal differentiator. As the wider automotive industry moves to an omni-channel approach we are able to utilise our digital skills at scale to remain at the forefront of automotive retailing.
Since our inception in 1989, our group has remained focused on acquiring and developing some of the industry's most well-known brands and retail sites.
This has enabled us to create a strong geographic footprint across the UK and allows customers to be within easy reach of great customer service through one of our local retailers or via our digital channels.
Our business powers a number of well recognised retail and automotive trade brands, which include; Evans Halshaw, Stratstone, Car Store, Pinewood, Quickco and Pendragon Vehicle Management.
Our Board sets out Pendragon's strategy and ensures we have in place the financial and human resources we need in order to meet our objectives.
Having a diverse Board with different perspectives, insights and viewpoints benefits our stakeholders through better business performance.
Our Board consists of the Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chairman, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer and four Non-Executive Directors.
For over 30 years Pendragon has put our customers at the heart of our business, ensuring they get the best possible experience when searching for their next car.
We have grown from a network of 19 retailers to a state-of-the-art automotive group with national reach and a dedicated team of Associates.
Throughout our history we have acquired a number of well recognised companies and brands, each of which has helped to strengthen the choice available to our customers and the potential to our investors.
