Pendragon Rebrand Three Sites to Support Strategy

In a move to support our used car strategy, in which we aim to double used car revenue by 2021, we have rebranded three of our Evans Halshaw Motorhouses to 'Car Stores' - a new and exciting brand specialising in the buying and selling of used cars.

As a result, our existing locations in York, Lincoln and Gateshead have all undergone extensive renovations to fit in with our unique Car Store branding. Offering an innovative car buying experience, our Evans Halshaw Car Store brand is part of a plan to reshape the business in order to deliver a market-leading share in used vehicle and aftersales markets.

Consisting of features which all contribute to enhancing the customer's buying journey, all 3 of our new Car Store locations will have a large outdoor display area comprising vehicles from a variety of different automotive brands, as well as a state-of-the-art workshop, a coffee lounge and break out areas for customers to discuss their options with our knowledgeable and friendly team members.

Customers visiting our Car Stores will also be able to take advantage of our virtual store, giving them access to more than 20,000 cars online, meaning their options aren't limited to what cars are physically available at the store. Our innovative Move Me Closer service available across all Car Stores also allows them to get their desired car moved to a dealership closer to them if it is located too far away for them to travel to.

Sell Your Car, a service offered at the newly rebranded York, Lincoln and Gateshead stores, and is another key differentiator for Car Store. The service allows customers to get a free valuation for their car online before dropping it off at Car Store to complete the sale, without any obligation to purchase another vehicle.

The new stores join 16 existing Car Stores across the U.K., bringing the total to 19, with more on the horizon.
