As a company we operate within a framework of 5 core values, our team members, our customers, our suppliers, our manufactures and our shareholders who are all essential to our business. These values are the backbone of our culture and it is the responsibility of our team members to know and understand our 5 core values.
Empowering team members
Pendragon operates in a team-orientated environment, which encourages involvement and commitment. Every team member plays an important part in our future, working together to achieve our vision to be the number 1 choice. Our team members are empowered to take ownership of tasks and projects, devote time to learning and personal development and gain recognition and a sense of achievement which in turn has enabled Pendragon to become the most successful and respected organisation within it's defined sector.
Investors in People
In August 2006 we were again pleased to announce acceptance of the coveted Investors in People Award for the third time running. We were first recognised as an Investor in People organisation in August 1998. At that time the Company consisted of approximately 250 members operating from two sites in Derby. Throughout the period 1998 until 2006 the leadership team has continued to deploy the support mechanisms required to maintain the company vision and core values as well as underpin the dramatic growth. The assessors conclude that Pendragon continues to fully comply with the current Investors in people standard and is re-recognised for a further three years.
CANI
Because of the ever-changing world we live in, Pendragon recognises the need to constantly improve processes. We have a system in place called Constant And Never-ending Improvement (CANI), which encourages all team members to come up with ideas and ways to improve our business to make us even more successful in the future.
